Etc. etc.<\/p>\n<p>Well, if this kind of thinking is widespread among the male species, there is good chance that a woman has somehow married a normal man.\u00a0 There is a vast variety of men with diverse variations of irks and quirks. Believe me, all have their unique irks and quirks.\u00a0\u00a0 The efforts to find a man without any of these irks and quirks can easily lead to many years of expectant search.\u00a0 The few good ones that are known, somehow dress up in white, have wings and a halo.\u00a0 I think their address has the word \u201cHeaven\u201d some where in it.<\/p>\n<p>I guess, for those ladies, who get just the normal male variety, some good writings like, <strong>WHAT NOT TO SAY TO YOUR HUSBAND <\/strong>will bring both knowledge and good cheer.\u00a0 If you sincerely follow the article, the husband may actually brag, behind you back.\u00a0\u00a0 You may actually earn the distinction of being regarded as \u201cSuper Smart\u201d.\u00a0 Now this comment goes far beyond the intellect, in his heart he actually considers you a \u201cSuper Sweet Heart\u201d.\u00a0 You have to understand, he is a man, you have to read between the words.\u00a0\u00a0 He does not want to sound mushy, (other men may be listening), and the book of \u201cromantic words\u201d was cultivated on a different planet anyhow. \u00a0\u00a0I agree, life is a little rough around the edges when deficiencies are even found in one\u2019s own husband.<\/p>\n<p>The years of day dreaming, searching and wishful thinking, only yielded a less than perfect find.\u00a0\u00a0 This is hard.<\/p>\n<p>One thing however, is very clear:\u00a0 If you are willing to understand this less than perfect species, and you can genuinely be his \u201cSuper Sweet Heart\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 He will radiate it in a way which is far beyond his own efforts.\u00a0\u00a0 The people in his work spot will simply see it.\u00a0\u00a0 Women on all levels, in all departments WILL \u2013 NOTICE \u2013 IT.\u00a0\u00a0 If he is in a meeting, it will not be so much his subject matter, as that hidden radiation, which will attract winning co-operation.\u00a0 People will want him, even if details are still to be worked out.\u00a0 People, both men and women, on all levels, in all departments will \u201cdesire\u201d to meet and know, \u201cThe wife who is behind the man\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Women will comparatively try and measure, what it is that YOU do so well.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The importance of a GOOD WIFE cannot be underestimated.\u00a0\u00a0 Nothing can overtake it, &#8211; not old age, not sickness, not money or the lack of it, certainly not the possession of fancy things,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Proverbs 31:23, <\/strong><strong>\u00a0 HER HUSBAND IS KNOWN IN THE GATES, WHEN HE SITS AMONG THE ELDERS OF THE LAND.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The word \u2018Gates\u2019 in olden day\u2019s biblical language does not mean a door like it does today.\u00a0 We come across the same word in the story of Lot in the Genesis. It meant the Main Office of the city or the town.\u00a0 It would be the equivalent of a Mayor\u2019s Office by today\u2019s standard.\u00a0 Any thing that happens in the city or town must happen under the authority of the Mayor and his council.<\/p>\n<p>A non descript man can easily be transformed to something \u201cSuper\u201d by a good wife.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here is a simple, yet true story:<\/p>\n<p>On 29 Dec. 1808 a child was born in North Carolina, He was named Andrew Johnson.\u00a0 At age 3 his father died, At age 10 he became an apprentice to a tailor.\u00a0\u00a0 He never attended any type of school.\u00a0\u00a0 Andrew met and married a lady by the name of Eliza McCardle.\u00a0\u00a0 Andrew credited Eliza with teaching him to read and write.\u00a0\u00a0 Documentaries put it in very simple words, \u201cShe supported her husband\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 It was precisely this man with very humble childhood; without school education of any type; learning to read and write from an equally ordinary wife, that went on to become the 17<sup>th<\/sup> President of the United States.\u00a0\u00a0 It was under this man\u2019s presidency that the US bought Alaska from the Russian Government in 1867.\u00a0\u00a0 This is the man that passed the payment to pay US$ 7.2 million for Alaska.\u00a0 That would equal approximately US$ 95,750,000 by the 2005 inflation rate.\u00a0 The question is: what made this man of humble beginning take decisions worth millions in his time.\u00a0\u00a0 What made this uneducated man sit among \u201cGiants\u201d of the educated world and be their President.\u00a0\u00a0 Somewhere among all there was, was a simple Lady, by name Eliza McCardle Johnson, his wife.\u00a0\u00a0 Apart from a little bits of reading and writing and teaching her husband to read and write (among the day to day chores), was just one simple thing: s<strong>he believed God gave her a good man<\/strong>.\u00a0 It is a very simple doctrine, it has only 8 words in the sentence. And there is only one sentence.<\/p>\n<p>Love makes very great things possible.\u00a0 GOD IS LOVE.\u00a0 Every wife who genuinely seeks to make God a part of her marriage, wins.\u00a0\u00a0 Humour and wit and Good Cheer are just some of the many blossoms that delight the heart of every one, including those who read about them or see them.\u00a0\u00a0 You see this time and time again in a church, at a mall, in a everyday situation in life.\u00a0 And you say to yourself, \u201cit would be nice to know them\u201d. This quality of affection is very exuberating.\u00a0\u00a0 Scripture also puts it like this:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>HE WHO FINDS A WIFE FINDS A GOOD THING, AND OBTAINS FAVOR FROM THE LORD. PROV. 18:22<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The trick is not that Eliza just happened to stumble on a fancy slogan,- like, s<strong>he believed God gave her a good man.\u00a0 <\/strong>If things were that simple, we could easily give every woman the recipe to a successful marriage.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, every genuine woman really does start out with the belief that God gave her a wonderful man.\u00a0 She really does believe that God has answered the \u201cSearching of her heart\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Well, &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; then what happened???<\/p>\n<p>The devil plants trouble.\u00a0 The trouble has all kinds of disguises, some times it looks like Money or the lack of it, or the in-laws, or the job or the lack of it, and so many other causes.\u00a0 The deception is further aggravated by the fact, that even, the opposite lands up into the same negative scenario.\u00a0 For example: Money OR the Lack of it; Success OR the lack of it.\u00a0\u00a0 The devil\u2019s tricks of wiles are, many, malicious and very persistent.<\/p>\n<p>The skill is to believe it with all your heart, that <strong>GOD gave you a good man. \u2013 That God really loves you and did not give you some trash.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At face value, you probably have many up-hill struggles and the man may have all kinds of defects.\u00a0 You feel like screaming out to the Lord:\u00a0 \u201cTake this thorn out of my flesh\u201d.\u00a0 Strangely, these words were already said by St. Paul.\u00a0 Three times St. Paul asked the Lord to \u201cTake this thorn out of my flesh\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>And the Lord actually replied to him &#8212;- <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cMY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS\u201d. 2Co 12:9<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Andrew Johnson did not tell historians to write about all his accomplishments and how far sighted his decision to buy Alaska will be.\u00a0 The Historian researched those facts and made it public knowledge for people like you and me to read decades and maybe centuries later.\u00a0 All Andrew said, if people should ever write about him later, was: <strong>\u201cI credit my wife, for teaching me to read and write\u201d.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is these few word that has eclipsed the grandeurs of everything else.\u00a0 The Gold Rush was pale by comparison, The black Gold know as Oil did not equal it, \u00a0Even the plain and simple fact that Alaska GNP in 1998 was 6737 billion dollars DID NOT move hearts as much as: <strong>\u201cI credit my wife, for teaching me to read and write\u201d.\u00a0 <\/strong>\u2013 Words from the man who sat among \u201cGiants\u201d of the educated world and was their President!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was just one line of acknowledgement to a lady: \u201c<strong>She believed God gave her a good man\u201d.\u00a0 <\/strong>Did it say much?<\/p>\n<p>Well, &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; I am from half way round the world, born decades later, not a US citizen, yet paying respect to two people. \u2013 Not to a President not to a First Lady as much as two inspiring people, People whose inspiration transcends all political boundaries.\u00a0 They are, like so many others, the true treasures of Human Beings everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">==================================================================================<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The main responsibility for a husband in a Christian home is to love his wife. This is mentioned many times in the Bible. So I must put my foot down to get my rights!\u201d Are you questioning God&#8217;s words or the wisdom of God? Do you think that in the moments when God was writing His instructions, He did not have your situations in life before him? Even while He was writing the words, in all things?\u201d, He must have known right from the beginning that this would be the best for you, otherwise He would not have written it. Obedience to this command glorifies God very much.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cBut my husband is a jelly fish, how can I be submissive to him and depend on him?\u201d Try it; Try to be submissive to him in all things, just like you would be to the Lord. Bend your decisions. Trust him and also his capabilities instead of running him down, or making fun of him, or making him feel small or comparing him with other men. Tell him that you trust him, that he is capable and that you are thankful to the dear Lord that He has given you this husband to lean on. Then see how God uses your kindness to make a real man out of your husband \u00ad the man that God intended him to be. In this situation the behavior of the wife is important. Encourage him and praise him, this will unleash power in him and bring out the best in him. In many ways the wife&#8217;s behavior is the key to bring the best in him. If you discourage him, he will either shrivel up or take to something else, like drinking, working late, spending time in pubs or clubs or to turn to another woman. In the process both partners will shrivel up and both will become losers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">All humans are NEED BASED creatures our very existence revolves around needs, whether it is the need for food, clothing, shelter, expression, receiving, thinking, religion, love etc. Just as God planned that the husband should fulfill the NEEDS of his wife, He also planned that the wife should submit to the NEEDS of the husband. Just as the God given nature of a wife is to depend, the internal urge of a husband is to take control. Regardless of what he may say or how he behaves, he deeply resents it if the wife resorts to any tactics or makes any demands, which attempt to manipulate him. Furthermore as a head, man must get recognition and respect, and it is exactly this recognition that God expects the wife to provide him with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Ephesians 5:33<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Epheser 5:33<\/span>,<\/strong> we read,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong> \u201cNEVERTHELESS LET EACH ONE OF YOU IN PARTICULAR SO LOVE HIS OWN WIFE AS HIMSELF, AND LET THE WIFE SEE THAT SHE RESPECTS HER HUSBAND, SO GIVE HIM THE RECOGNITION AND RESPECT THAT HE NEEDS AS A LEADER.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> 33 \u201eWas euch angeht, so liebe jeder von euch seine Frau wie sich selbst, die Frau aber ehre den Mann.<\/span>\u201c<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Life in today\u2019s competitive world is not easy. The husband must often face frustrations, discouragements and setbacks. Others criticize him or blame him. He needs someone to encourage him, to appreciate him, someone to have faith and respect in him. That is the reason why God gave him a wife. He will be able to take a lot more of hardships if he knows that he has a wife, who stands by him, admires him and trusts him regardless of whatever happens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On the other hand, if he receives the same treatment that he gets in the working world, he will seek some method of escape, which will bring unhappiness to all concerned. You will be surprised how a little admiration; encouragement and a friendly smile will draw him home like a bear that smells honey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Of course obedience to do, or to be submissive to sin or sinful things is not what God meant, when He commanded that a wife be obedient to your own husband. And the words \u2018in all things\u2019 does not apply to Sin. The Holy Scripture is absolutely clear about this point. <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">In Acts 15:29<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Die Apostelgeschichte 15:29<\/span><\/strong> we read,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong> \u201cTHAT YOU ABSTAIN FROM THINGS OFFERED TO IDOLS, FROM BLOOD, FROM THINGS STRANGLED AND FROM SEXUAL IMMORALITY. IF YOU KEEP YOURSELF FROM THESE THINGS, YOU WILL DO WELL, FARE WELL.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> 29 \u201eG\u00f6tzenopferfleisch, Blut, Ersticktes und Unzucht zu meiden. Wenn ihr euch davor h\u00fctet, handelt ihr richtig. Lebt wohl!<\/strong><strong> \u201c<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In all cases of doubt, the guideline will be submission to the LORD. IF SUBMISSION TO THE LORD IS NOT IMPEACHED, THEN SUBMISSION TO HUSBAND IS IN ORDER.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">True submission is not a matter of loss of individuality or personality, as people often mistake it to be. It is a challenge to bring out the best in the other half of ONES OWN SELF \u00ad (Jesus said, and the two shall become one flesh.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is necessary to die to our own pride and we must destroy all selfish motives. The prayer should be, \u201cO God, give me a simple and unselfish attitude to be led by my husband in the way you want it, so that I bring honor to your Name.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Peter 3:3<\/strong><\/span> we have already read what the Holy Scripture says about how a Christian wife should make herself beautiful. If you follow this advice you will save yourself considerable expenses. St. Peter says beauty is not dependent on external things like hairstyle, jeweler, gold, fancy clothing etc. But rather on the heart and character. On the other hand he certainly didn&#8217;t mean that a Christian wife should be slovenly or careless about her appearance, he wanted to convey the message that true beauty is deeper than the thickness of the skin or the threads that cover it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Women should know this. There are some women who think that God gave them husbands to buy them all the things their heart desire. Some drive the husbands to make more and more money, so that they can buy more clothing, more jewelers, furniture, more holidays and more luxuries of every sort, more money for hairstyles and visits to beauty parlors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Their social status and her beauty will only impress other people in particular. She uses her husband to satisfy her vanity and is greedy for material things. This kind of a wife will either destroy her husband or drive him to some other person who loves him for what he is.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A characteristic that never goes out of fashion is:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong> \u201c. . . A GENTLE AND QUITE SPIRIT, WHICH IS VERY PRECIOUS IN THE EYES OF THE LORD.\u201d 1 Peter. 3:4<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> 4 \u201esondern was im Herzen verborgen ist, das sei euer unverg\u00e4nglicher Schmuck: ein sanftes und ruhiges Wesen. Das ist wertvoll in Gottes Augen.\u201c 1 Petrus 3:4<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This characteristic is obviously absent in many wives \u00ad Even Christian wives. In its place we encounter moodiness, irritability, nagging, grumbling, accusations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00ad Hardly any of these things are praise worthy properties for a Christian wife. Maybe one or the other will say, but in the last chapter you wrote that these behavioral patterns have something to do with the female physical make up, especially with regard to emotional weakness and moodiness. Yes that is true, but not all moodiness can be attributed to body chemistry. In fact, much of the emotional weaknesses and moodiness are as a result of ego, and the refusal to step down from the throne of our life. It is also as a result of our refusal to surrender our life to the Will of Jesus Christ. This irritation is one of the most common complaints between husband and wife. What they have against one another, in most cases, is because of interference caused by the partner. It is the interference in the pleasures, entertainment, comforts, conveniences or the well being of the partner. Irritation is nothing other than sinful nature wanting to have its own way. This is sinful nature wanting to have its own way. This, however, does not give the husband the right to behave in any unloving or unfriendly manner, when his wife is in a bad mood. Even then she needs sympathetic words and understanding instead of angry retorts like, \u201cDon\u2019t be moody\u201d or, \u201cYou should not behave like a child\u201d. On the other hand the wife should not blame the husband for her bad mood and moodiness. She must assume personal responsibility for her behavior. She must take this up with the Lord. She must call it what it is \u00ad Sin. She should confess it to God and ask Him for His mercy and strength to over come it. The Lord Jesus Christ will then produce His Graciousness and sweetness in her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Of course, life for a woman is difficult. The pressure of home- keeping, looking after children can quickly turn into a monotonous routine. She goes through the work motions but feels as though she has not contributed anything meaningful towards life. The constant confinement within the four walls of her house and the uninterrupted back drop of children chatter threatens to distract her all the time. But if she allows this attitude to linger, it will soon bring gloom to the whole household and everyone will suffer because of it. A cheerful atmosphere at home depends to a large extent on the wife. If she commits her self to God, the Holy Spirit will give her a friendly radiance and life will become an exciting challenge, instead of an exasperating chore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Some wives are so busy with activities outside the house, that they just do not have their God given tasks before their eyes. Their first duty is towards the husband and the household. Doing this well. takes serious thought, careful planning and selfless attention. The purpose of this chapter is not to give the husband something in the hand so that they can wave it in front of the wife&#8217;s face; the reason for this chapter is to help the wives to orient themselves towards the Holy Scripture. Each one must examine their ways and enlighten them in the light of God&#8217;s teaching. The Holy Spirit will perform His own work in the spouse in His own divine way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Right early in this book I mentioned, I read a lot of related topics because it was the only thing I can and could do until our marriage healed. At this point in the book I would like to mention 2 wonderful articles:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> THE GENTLE ART OF CARING<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By Muriel Anderson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> WHAT NOT TO SAY TO YOUR HUSBAND<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By Cynthia Lindsay<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">These two articles are extremely well written, with elegance which is very hard to equal. It would be a shame to try and transcribe the idea because the wit, charm and effervescence of the articles would be lost. It would be like trying to write Shakespear\u2019s work in our words. Writers may not lose the meaning in their writing, but something in the flavour would not be the same. Ladies can put things across in a very nice way for another lady to read. This book is essentially written by a man with different kind of word dynamic, so the writing of these two ladies could have been quite refreshing. By my best efforts I could not locate the authors, so I cannot approach them for permission in order to include their work. It is my firm belief that their work will bring meaning and good cheer to even more people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Who knows, maybe one day our paths will cross, and I will be granted the honour and privilege to include their work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Briefly, Muriel Anderson\u2019s article <strong>THE GENTLE ART OF CARING i<\/strong>s about caring as seen through the eyes of a child. An adult has written this article but it has captured the exquisite charm of childhood. Childhood memories and impressions are \u2018Treasures\u2019. We should try to leave in each child something great, something that they will cherish. Some of the greatest treasures that we give to them are the small goodness of leaving our work, to look at their first discoveries and accomplishments, &#8211; with them. It is these \u2018small\u2019 things- that are so, \u2018BIG\u2019 to them and will make their tomorrows lighter. The fragrance of these childhood memories will help them to weather many future storms in their life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cynthia Lindsay article of <strong>WHAT NOT TO SAY TO YOUR HUSBAND <\/strong> is written with a different style, it is very witty and charming and yet it embodies enormous amount very special wisdom which will help a wife in her relationship to her husband.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Let us face facts squarely, men don\u2019t read books on how to please a wife. They do not even think that they lack any knowledge on this subject. Actually, they go one step further. They sincerely believe there is nothing real to learn about this subject at all. In an academic sense they will agree, that hypothetically, there can be things that are structured. In a real sense however, they just assign any handy word that comes to mind on the spur of the incident, the list is long, but a few may sound like: Who knows; Is there any point; It is about luck; This happens; Is some thing wrong?; Is this about me?; My wife is no different; Some kind of Fuzzy logic; No logic; Forget it; Have you tried flowers? ; Do you think perfume will work? Etc. etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Well, if this kind of thinking is widespread among the male species, there is good chance that a woman has somehow married a normal man. There is a vast variety of men with diverse variations of irks and quirks. Believe me, all have their unique irks and quirks. If you sincerely follow the article, the husband may actually brag, behind you back. You may actually earn the distinction of being regarded as \u201cSuper Smart\u201d. Now this comment goes far beyond the intellect, in his heart he actually considers you a \u201cSuper Sweet Heart\u201d. You have to understand, he is a man, you have to read between the words. He does not want to sound mushy, (other men may be listening), and the book of \u201cromantic words\u201d was cultivated on a different planet anyhow. It was precisely this man with very humble childhood; without school education of any type; learning to read and write from an equally ordinary wife, that went on to become the 17<sup>th<\/sup> President of the United States. What made this uneducated man sit among \u201cGiants\u201d of the educated world and be their President. Somewhere among all there was, was a simple Lady, by name Eliza McCardle Johnson, his wife. Apart from a little bits of reading and writing and teaching her husband to read and write (among the day to day chores), was just one simple thing: <strong>she believed God gave her a good man<\/strong>.
