The people who are eager to get married will immediately say YES to this question, they would actually find the question inconceivable. On the other hand there are a vast number of people who are seriously asking the question, \u201cIs life together possible?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For me, before I got married, wedding was a normal sequence in the course of life&#8217;s florid train of events. It seemed to be an understood milestone. In my mind, there was no doubt that two people could live together. My own thinking, my Christian out look and observations of my own parent\u2019s marriage gave this thinking credence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Now after my own marriage difficulties and the marriage separations of friends, I was forced to re-examine this question. Over the period of time I am convinced of two things:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is possible to live together,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Both have to work at it; otherwise, a marriage would succumb to the pressures that destroy togetherness. Togetherness cannot be taken for granted.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A lot depending on the experiences we make and the expectations we have. For example, Mrs. M had other opinions, after the honeymoon, Marriage was just not what she imagined it to be. Disappointment and bitterness began to emerge and already another marital union was ready to join the vast mountain of troubled marriages. While it is rare for disappointment and bitterness to emerge so soon after the honeymoon, it is certainly not impossible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Social Psychologists are of the opinion that the very foundation of a stable family home life, is disintegrating and the very institution of marriage seems to stand in danger of crumbling. The fact is, <strong>Matrimony cannot crumble \u2013 It is a Divine institution &#8211; God is the Author<\/strong>. What it will face is, however, are attacks from the devil in all forms and disguises. It will challenge us as individuals, to do things our way and fail, or to do it God\u2019s way and succeed. It will challenge our alacrity to use our <strong>WILL<\/strong> with the <strong>Wisdom of God <\/strong>rather than that of man.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One of the countries that have publicly available statistics on this subject is the USA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The statistics revealed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 1900: 1 marriage in 12 landed in a divorce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 1922: 1 marriage in 7 landed in a divorce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 1980: 1 marriage in 3 landed in a divorce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(In 2004: The US statistics is 1 marriage out of 2 landed in divorce. Oklahoma is said to top the list with 71% landing in divorce. (This data was added later in 1992))<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Every marriage separation or divorce produces emotional scars, which have an effect on future generations. The prospects for the future look even more distressing. Note the statistics mentioned above are for divorce. These figures are possible because there is civil census for divorce. There are separate statistics for registered separation but these figures are incomplete, because not all cases are officially registered. There are however, no censuses on marriage where the spouses have separated relationship but live under the same roof.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If we take these two groups of problems relationships, we see that the ratio is much worse than 1:3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This ratio is shocking enough, but in addition, there are a vast number of households that are openly recognized war zones. Where, fights, defiance and shouting matches are a regular occurrence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To these figures we can add the vast number of households where a truce is maintained just for the sake of some worldly reason like: for the sake of prestige, social image, reputation, financial reason or for the sake of the kids. These marriages constitute disturbed relationships. Instead of being a piece of heaven on earth, they are a piece of hell on earth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For the sake of an overview to problem marriage we have:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Divorced cases where the ratio stands at 1 Marriage out of 3.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Registered Separation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Unregistered Separation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Separated relationships but living under the same roof.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Strained and war zone relationships.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Disturbed Relationships.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So what do we have here as far as the ratios are concerned? Firstly, one third falls off under the officially divorces cases. Secondly, if we add separated marriage and disturbed marriages, the figure can conservatively add up to another third. From this, we can infer that only one marriage out of three is likely to be a happy one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(At the time of compiling this book in 1992 the Static rate for divorce in the USA is estimated to reach one marriage out of two. This ratio is for divorce alone!)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Considering the above ratios, I think it is important to look at marriage carefully, because the odds of a happy and successful marriage are less than one third. It is for this reason, reading about marriage should begin before marriage, and should continue like a, \u2018process\u2019 at least till \u2018The Fourth Stage has stabilized \u2013 The communion Stage, (See Chapter on Relationship). This will involve reading, thinking and re-thinking. Nowhere can anything be left for granted. Every little success is by hard won efforts. We must be clear that marriage demands careful and constant attention, otherwise it will die. When it comes to our careers and climbing up the professional ladder, we are clear and we make serious efforts to keep up. Unfortunately we often do not put in the same zest when it concerns our marriage. Most people try very hard to keep up the efforts of the career because they hope to provide a good standard of living and achieve happiness for the family through this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But the so-called good standard of living and good things are no replacement to careful and constant attention. Even the torrential starting love that was so strong during the courtship hasn\u2019t sufficient adherence force to look after a marriage over a prolonged period of years. Constant Grace of God and Love from our side can overcome the strains of life and the ravages of time induced fatigue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The statistics mentioned above are based on US state of affairs. In other countries these figures will be different, but the tendency worldwide is clear. The tendency shows a worldwide erosion of marriages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The latest divorce statistics however tend to show an improvement. Why? Is it because people are able to get on better? \u00ad No, it is simply because there is an ever increasing number of couples who are living together but who are not married. Hence, their going apart cannot be reflected in either the divorce statistics or the separated statistics. Marriage is commitment to each other. These, \u2018Living Together\u2019, relationships are a type of insufficient and insecure relationship, with a handy exit passage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At interviews an estimate of 7% of women and 6% of men said they would not marry the same person. Many said that they would not marry again. While the above percentages are subjective feelings, the fact remains that there are ample number of external influences that support break-up. Influences like the opinion of family; friends; the opinion of society, the example of others. The humdrum of the worldly influences seem to say, \u201cIf you can&#8217;t love it \u00ad leave it.\u201d This is a strong pressure to cope up with. Christians often tend to feel secure in their marriages, if they both have been dutiful to their church going. There are surprises even here. So in all fairness it is important to point out, for those of us who are Christians, we must be aware that Christian Marriage are not immune to marital disharmony, and the pressures of the world will be just as intense. These pressures and opinions will poise themselves very conveniently, as an easy exit from the wedding vows. <strong>The wedding vow: . . \u201cDo you (Name) take this woman \/ this man to be your lawfully wedded wife \/ husband for rich or for poor, in health or in sickness, in good times or in bad times?\u201d . . .<\/strong>The promise at the altar does not have any,<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong> \u201cIfs\u201d, \u201cbuts\u201d or, \u201cback doors.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The typical SYMPTOMS of a sick and unhappy marriage are:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Infidelity, bitterness; resentment; drop in affection, cutting comments, criticisms and prolonged silence. These characteristics are a poor advertisement for the peace of Jesus Christ or His Power in our Life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is necessary to search for the reason, which causes the break-up; and a lot of people try to pursue this cause earnestly. Some who find the exact cause may arrive at the following finding:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They find it difficult to pin point the reason. They use a lot of worldly wisdom. They first of all look for a \u201csingle\u201d reason. They find some reasons but there still seems to be something else lurking somewhere. Somehow, the picture does not seem complete. And this baffles them. It is true the picture is not complete. Because this picture involves the feeling and emotions of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One&#8217;s self.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The spouse and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Any other people who have contributing influence to the relationship.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Emotions and feelings are dynamic and are subject to change. They change either by a subjective or objective outlook. Time has an effect. Often things fade and become insignificant with time and yet the opposite is equally possible. We are always facing new influences and consequently our marital problems are also encountering new influences all the time. So the combinations that result because of all these influences are simply innumerable and we cannot see the whole picture in its fullest details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Added to the large number of influences, is also the variety of hues of meaning and importance that, we assign to the intensity levels of the influence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sometimes when we reason purely with our human intellect, we could be over whelmed by the unpleasant changes and re-changes. Just when you feel you have made progress, you find that the focus of contention has changed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The confusion in this phase is extremely complex to understand. If we try to make an analogy of the complexity of all factors in marriage, we can compare it almost to some kind of a Video Game where there are many targets, which are constantly moving around and are constantly changing their size and status between &#8216;Friend\u2019 and &#8216;Foe&#8217;. A game like this can be quite exasperating, but that is how many married couple feel about their problem relationship. They are quite exasperated, and they react out of their exasperation. In the bargain, they often make things worse for themselves and their spouse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Let us see what the Bible tells us. It tells us that marriage and family are a divine institution. In fact, it is the first institution forwarded by God as far as mankind is concerned. He designed it as necessary for the human race. By His divine will He allowed man and woman to be pro-creators. If we look at many other species of living beings the institution of marriage is not necessary, even parental care and upbringing may not apply. Take the caterpillar for instance; it has no family ties with its mother. We cannot fully understand God&#8217;s reasons for everything He has done, so we have to assume that it is God&#8217;s plan, the way He designed human marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The devil is constantly trying to disrupt this plan. Sometime his attempts bring him success, while it brings sufferings to the victims. If we lower our guard, the devil makes his move.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In spite of the many obstacles, we should at all times remember that God founded the institutions of marriage and He also has the power to make it work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If we try to categorize marriage conflicts, they will fall into two major groups:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"auto-style1\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reasons that result out of personal imperfections like our ego, jealousy, selfishness, immaturity, lack of contentment, weak faith etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reasons that result out of attacks from the devil. These attacks are not direct. They are disguised, well camouflaged and<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <strong>designed not to draw attention to its self<\/strong>. In fact they make the people seek solutions elsewhere. The initial strategy of this disruption seems to impart relief, joy, well being and satisfaction. It produces a feeling of freedom from the troublesome spouse. It works almost exclusively through human weaknesses. It could be through the weaknesses of self or others. The devil is a master in deception. He achieves his ends by making the person concerned, to turn to sin. It is for this reason that people in a marriage conflict turn towards anger, fighting, bitterness, resentment, infidelity. They may also turn either to self- destruction or to the destruction of others. The end effect is sin, and his aim is to make human being sin. And what is Sin?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SIN IS TURNING AWAY FROM GOD&#8217;S PLAN.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If we look closely at the strategy, we see how cunning it is. The mere fact that it does not attract attention towards itself is in effect, an indication of its purposefulness towards destruction. The trick in this strategy is:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"auto-style1\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When we do not see a cause we do not offer any defense.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We do not offer any resistance, because we don\u2019t see any cause, and, our attention is cleverly diverted by making us pre-occupied to search for solutions everywhere else. Every time and every effort seems to point to another possible avenue. Every time we feel we have got a grip over the problem, we find it was a mistake and we start chasing another mirage all over again. Time, efforts and energy are wasted on fruitless shadow \u00ad boxing and finger pointing matches.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the Bible <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Ephesians 6: 10-17<\/strong><\/span> we read:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cFINALLY, MY BRETHREN, BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF &#8216;HIS MIGHT&#8217;. PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST THE WILES OF THE DEVIL. FOR WE DO NOT WRESTLE AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST THE RULER OF DARKNESS OF THIS AGE, AGAINST SPIRITUAL HOSTS OF WICKEDNESS IN HEAVENLY PLACES. THEREFORE TAKE UP THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND IN THE EVIL DAY, AND HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND. Consequently he sees no reason to do anything about developing his faith.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The primitive man on the other hand, lived in his superstitions and gives less attention to human weakness except perhaps to defend his precious human ego.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Most of us vacillate between these two models. Human weakness alone is not the total pictures of man\u2019s complex make up and superstition is not a total picture anyway. So, either of these avenues in isolation will fall short of true and lasting results. When we find that we cannot solve our imperfections and our normal intelligence does not take us forward, we get frustrated. But frustration does not solve the problem, it only escalates it. If we want to solve the problem, we need to first of all believe in God and ask for Faith in God. Once we make this first step, we will find all other factors like human-weakness, falling into their rightful place. Our intelligence can then logically follow the teachings of God&#8217;s ways through reading the Bible. The Bible has a lot to say in every relationship of mankind including marriage. We also cultivate an attitude to things which intelligence alone cannot solve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Among the many things the Bible teaches us. One point that stands out prominently is that Jesus Christ was well aware of these human problems and that is why he said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cFORGIVE AND FORGET.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By FORGIVING we put the devils attack down, by FORGETTING we are able to stand above human weaknesses, our\u2019s as well as the other persons. FORGIVING and FORGETTING besides their individual merits has a collective merit. That is, it has the ability to attune our thinking to wipe away \u2018old scores\u2019 on hurts. The result is that we are not hurt any more, so we do not feel the need for revenge or at least to give \u2018tit for tat\u2019 we also have a less cluttered up mind, so we can think better. It is the most worthwhile solution that we have.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We should give this teaching of Forgive and Forget an extra-determined attention because:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">God\u2019s Son said it, and there is nothing casual which has been recorded in the Bible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">God knew that this was extremely necessary otherwise we would never be able to solve these kinds of conflicts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is a difficult teaching to practice, because, of our fallen nature. This is the reason why Jesus had to stress it. It is this fallen nature of ours, that either tries to avoid the teaching or to adopt a seemingly more appealing course of action, For Example, getting our own back and giving a tit for tat.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is extremely difficult to forgive but comparatively it is still more difficult to forget. We need GOD&#8217;S HELP if we are to be able to overcome our fallen nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Somewhere along our life, we gather HURTS and these hurts trouble us, they become in-effect a part of our behavior and out look. The word \u201cRESENTMENT\u201d is used often in our vocabulary, we know how to use the word, but most of us hardly go into the origin of the word. \u2018Resentment\u2019 comes from two words, \u201cRe\u201d is, \u201cagain\u201d and \u201cSentiment\u201d comes from \u201cSentiment.\u201d The word Sentiment covers a wide range of feeling, but in the usage of this word \u2018Resentment\u2019 is reserved to cover hurt feelings. So when put together, it means to <strong>feel Sentiments again<\/strong> \u00ad ie<strong>. to feel hurt again. <\/strong>It is this feeling of hurt again and again which is the cause of much pain. We feel it again and again because we remember old incidents, in our mind we re-live some previous hurt which was caused by some person or incident and which we have not \u201cforgotten\u201d the things that were said, done or implied \u00ad we are re-hurt over and over again because we are again feeling what we have not forgotten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Many people including practicing Christians are not aware that there is a Christian Ministry called, INNER HEALING MINISTRY. The service of this Ministry is to help in healing wounds that are caused by hurt feelings, hurt emotions, and painful memories. Many of the hurt experienced percolate into the conscious, semi-conscious or to the sub-conscious areas of a person. Many wounds are caused so far back in time that we no longer remember them. But no matter how far back or how faded away the memories are, these hurts form and continue to influence our behavior. While some wounds are caused as far back as childhood there are even wounds caused while the child is still in the womb. An unwanted baby somehow perceives that it is not wanted. It feels this rejection; it is helpless and can do little or nothing except to take it all in. Later, in life these feeling will emerge as a \u2018play back\u2019 in some way or another.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The memory of hurt feelings is a wide spread reason for marital conflicts. It may be necessary to undergo an, Inner Healing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There are so many things that we do not know about, for the simple reason that we do not have time to keep up with all the information explosion going around us. It is only when something goes wrong, that we search out for solutions. I came across the experience of inner healing only about a year and a half ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I suspect that many people do not know enough about inner healing. So, I will briefly try to say a few words about inner healing. For one thing it is very effective, provided, you have the right disposition and the wish to be healed. This also means that the person should have the desire to let go of the hurt. Many people find it extremely difficult to let go (of a hurt), they cling on to it. Inner healing is done usually with the help of another person who prays and helps the person who is in trouble to express his \/ her hurts and grants forgiveness to all people or situations, which have caused the injuries. This is done one session at a time, mentioning the Specific Name of the person wherever known. At the same time to ask the other person to forgive him \/ her for the hurts that they may have caused to the other person. The \u201cother person\u201d is not present, so, it is conducted in absentia. This secession works because of what is written in, <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Matthew 18:20<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Matth\u00e4us 18:20.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cFOR WHERE TWO OR THREE ARE GATHERED TOGETHER IN MY NAME, I AM THERE IN THE MIDST OF THEM.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>20 \u201eDenn wo zwei oder drei in meinem Namen versammelt sind, da bin ich mitten unter ihnen.\u201c<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Briefly this is how Inner Healing works. The past is not forgotten <strong>only the sting, that keep \u2018resentments\u2019 alive is removed<\/strong>. It is amazingly effective because once resentment is removed the hurt is gone and the past incident serves only as an experience. This healing is totally unlike brain- washing, electrode erasement and drugs used by psychiatrists. There is no damage or interference to the mind or body of the person. It is a way by which a person prays for the strength to let go of his hurt feeling and to once again embrace the other person in Love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Christianity is a religion of Love and that is all that inner healing does. It helps the person to love once again (and be unshackled from the past hurts).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If I put the advantages down in the form of points it would look like this:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">No additional wounds are inflicted either to body, mind, emotion or soul.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The memory still remains and serves only as our \u2018experience\u2019, so that we know how to avoid the same mess again and how to help others in an effective way. The memory is never used for storage of weapons of reproach, for further use.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since no human part is endangering like the brain, the body, the reaction, there are no withdrawal difficulties. I am saying this in direct reference to the physical damages caused by drugs like anti-depressants, anti- anxiety, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, memory- erasement, and a vast number of psychiatric methods etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Inner healing is safe regardless of what faith or creed one follows (or doesn&#8217;t follow). The only thing is that the person must want to be healed. There are no suggestion made, that one must alter or change his \/ her faith in order that the healing becomes effective. It is, in effect, no different from a non-Christian visiting a Christian School or Hospital.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In many cases the person to be healed will not come because of pride, shame, fear of another fail-start, despair, defiance, etc. In this case another person can stand proxy for healing. There is no other real treatment that is effective for a proxy stand-in. For example, It will be totally ineffective to have some one else stand- in as proxy for an X-Ray. From this point of view, inner healing is unique. It does not matter if the proxy is of the opposite sex, different age group. The only thing that is needed is the person must want to be healed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Psychiatry and many other forms of counseling function as a business, and fees are charged. The fees range somewhere between, high and exorbitant. Inner healing is a Christian Ministry \u00ad no fees are charged. The Church is not in the business of selling God gifts, in fact it is forbidden to charge fees. This service is done out of love. This is an important point because anyone regardless of whether he or she is rich or poor can approach this healing without turning the coins over in his pocket. Just to find and pay for peace and healing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Perhaps you are wondering how come you never heard of <strong>\u201cINNER HEALING\u201d<\/strong> before. The reason is that most Parishes are under staffed. The Priest have so many multifarious activities ranging from saying mass a few times a day, to baptizing babies, to marrying people, to burying others, to running the administration of Schools and Orphanages, to visiting the sick, and the list goes on and on with all kinds of adjustments and surprises and only 24 hours in a day. The priest does not have time for a time-involved activity like inner healing. There are just not enough vocations towards religious life. So only parishes where the parishioners join in, to help the priest in various duties, makes the &#8216;luxury\u2019 of inner healing possible. Any person who has the right disposition to do this service can do inner healing. He or she need not be extraordinary religious. From a human point of view, he or she should, however, be a good and patient listener. They should be generous with their time, because inner healing takes a fair amount of time. Yet unlike psychiatry, which is naturally and artificially a long drawn process, inner healing is faster. Often one or very few successions may be enough to bring about significant results. As an indication of time, a typical inner healing secession can take 1 hour. Inner healing is not a \u2018Rush- Job\u2019. Consequently, a person doing the inner healing must have, and be willing to offer their time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you should ever have difficulty in finding an Inner Healing Ministry, you should go to a Church and ask. If they themselves do not conduct this service you should ask them where can a, <strong>\u201cCATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL\u201d<\/strong> Group be found. This Group will then be able to give you the necessary information, as to where the inner healing ministry is conducted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The nearest thing to inner healing, what most Catholics know about is the SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION. The Catholic Church orders this Sacrament at least once a year at Easter time. The Church however recommends that we should avail of this sacrament as often as necessary. Only a Priest does this sacrament of confession. In the Church only a Priest is given the authority to absolve sin through the Power of God. <strong>Kindly note &#8211; only a priest is authorized to absolve sins. <\/strong>Whereas inner healing is healing of emotional wounds and can be practiced by a person who is not a priest. Either in confession or inner healing, it is certainly not easy to tell another person all our secrets and embarrassing sins, but it is precisely this act of humbling ones self that surprisingly brings relief. It is this feeling of relief that is important and needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Inner healing and confession are different, and distinct, but both bring relief and assurance that we are free. It is useful to know where good help is available, because we need every form of help and means to achieve a happy married life, for our family and ourselves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our Confession is made to God, through a priest. Inner healing is also done through a person. It is therefore not important who the person is because we are actually asking God to help us forget hurtful memories, since confession and inner healing are done by God, the personal merits and de-merits of the priest or person is not important.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If husbands and wives follow the Bible, God will help them and it will have a tremendous impact. The wish to seek a special person to belong to, and have belonged to you is a very strong urge. When people fall in love this <strong>desire<\/strong> intensifies. The Bible lays down a Blue Print for success. People may wrestle with it. Disagree with the direction. Bring in various arguments. In the end the Bible is never wrong, because it carries God\u2019s wisdom. In today\u2019s world, this may sound very hard; after all we go to schools with people of different religions. Our neighbors may be of different religions. In our work spot we have people from different religions and it may just happen that people can fall in love. <strong>Mind you, there is nothing wrong that people have different religions. Every religion is sacred. It is only right that people marry within their own religion. <\/strong>The Bible in its wisdom puts it like this:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cDO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED TOGETHER WITH AN UNBELIEVER. I think the choice of words were specific to the problem he was addressing. Nevertheless, the spirit of the text is still relevant today. I will try to attempt it as best as I can.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>By mentioning this point, I want to be very clear. Many of my very good friends are of different religions. God made everyone and He allowed diversity of religion. Furthermore, a child is born into a family without any choice. God will judge people by their heart and their deeds, not by which religion they were born into. If God has allowed different religions, we are not in any position to disagree with the diversities of religions. The point that is being made refers to benefits of marrying within ones own religion. Generally, same religion marriages are less stressful when compared to an inter-religious marriage.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you intend marrying a person of another religion, you should first wait and think about it. In principal you are unfair to the person you want to marry. Your intended partner thinks your heart belongs exclusively to him (or her), but this is not the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>MARRIAGE IS A TRI-UNION BETWEEN GOD, HUSBAND AND WIFE.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In a Christian Marriage this binding with the Lord Jesus Christ brings husband and wife closer. In a mixed marriage the result is chaotic and will result in unpleasantness and strife. You should not consider such a binding and thereby subject the person you like so much, to this unpleasant sentence. Marriage adjustments are complicated enough and there is really no use to amplify the complications still more, with obstacles of this magnitude.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You should not even be unfair to yourself. If you still want to \/ or went on and married a person of another faith, this is a deliberate disobedience to God&#8217;s Will and it might be that God would be forced to inflict trials upon trials on you till you bend to His will totally. This will make your non- Christian partner unhappy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You are also unfair to God. After all He sent His Son down to Earth so that He could pay the price of your Salvation. He did this by suffering and dying on the Cross. He did this because man by himself could never make enough reparation to God for the Sin, which he has committed. Somebody divine would have to do it, and Jesus Christ did it. He bought salvation for all men. The least we could do is acknowledge Him as Lord and God, who redeemed us. And of course we also have to lead a just and upright life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Some may come by the idea that by marrying a non- Christian they will bring their partner to God. God, however, never intended marriage to serve additionally as a mission field. Sometime this winning of a partner over to God may work but the odds are overwhelmingly against you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the event that you are already married to someone outside your religion, there is still hope. You should reach for a personal relationship with God and confess your sin of disobedience (or ignorance) to Him. \u2018Ignorance\u2019 in this context was not meant as innocent ignorance but rather the excuses we make, not to inform ourselves, so that we can continue to do what we like to do. For example, if we avoid catechism class or going to church or reading the Bible or seeking guidance. Then we hope, we can use the lack of our knowledge as an excuse. It may be true that we are ignorant, but the real reason is that we willfully chose to be ignorant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You may be wondering how you can reach a personal relationship with God. You can achieve it by the following method.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Acknowledge your sinfulness and take full responsibility for your Sin to God who is infinitely holy. God knew all about our sinful nature, so we can admit it freely to Him. We should not try to draw other people\u2019s behavior or misbehavior as reasons for sinning against Him. Just call sin a sin and be truly sorry for it. Have a sincere willingness to avoid falling into Sin. God knows we will fall again.
